The Laminex Group operates as a separate division within the Fletcher Building Products group of companies.

Laminex Industries acquires WESFI Manufacturing to form the largest decorative surfaces business in Australia.

Laminex Industries acquires the Formica operation in Australia and New Zealand.

CVC purchases the BTR Nylex building products group and the Amatek Pty Ltd was formed.
