 The Laminex Group exports the full range of products manufactured in our plants around Australia. The major product group exported is Raw MDF and we are in fact the largest exporter of this product from Australia. The Laminex Group also exports Particleboard, Decorated board and HPL. Laminex first started exporting MDF in 1987 and has built up an extensive network of agents and distributors throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Major markets are China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong. The Group Export strategy is to support the agents and build long-term business relationships. These agents have exclusivity in their allocated markets and the Export team works closely with them to build sales and product awareness. The Group has a strong position in the MDF market based on high quality and service levels. The business is using this base to further develop the sales of value added products, especially Decorated Particleboard. The Export department is spread across three sites; they are Gympie, Perth and Cheltenham. The locations carry out the full export function from order acceptance to dispatch and documentation. The three offices work closely together and will be supported by an efficient Export Computer System which allows work loads to be spread across all sites. This ensures peak loads are managed; documentation and delivery are always on time and enables the team to provide the best customer service.
